Figure tips

The first tip is to recognise that you can never justify the cost.
You buy it because you like it/want, and that's that.

My second tip is to try and buy pre-orders or upon release.
Getting old figures is costly; the aftersales/secondary market is very expensive.
Figures go up in value considerably.

My third tip is to never buy from China or second hand (from choice).
Buy from shops not private individuals.
The worst Hong Kong seller is Toys Wonderland; the guy is a tool.

Fourth tip: allow for hidden costs such as customs/import fees.
Not all figures incur fees.
Ideally, buy from UK sellers.

Fifth tip: learn who to trust.e.g. Lee Ward of The Good The Bad and The Robots is best in the UK & Collectibles Direct, Movie Figures etc are reliable but way more costly.

Sixth tip: research, read reviews and learn about the product before buying.

Seventh tip: cool figures go up in value. But not always. Value is very hard to predict.

Eight tip: cheap usually equals fake.
There are many counterfeit figures coming out of China.
Whenever possible, only buy from trusted suppliers.
